ABOUT GARDEN OF LEARNING
ABOUT
Garden of Learning | Founded in 2007
Founded in 2007, the Garden of Learning has become the leading child care center in Nampa, achieving a 4 star rating through the Idaho Stars Quality Rating and Improvement System. We are dedicated to providing children a safe, loving, high quality educational environment. Our standards are high and we have a commitment to make this the best childcare center in the area. Children are our first priority in everything we do!
It is often difficult for working parents to balance all the responsibilities in their lives. When your child is at the center, you will have peace of mind knowing that your child is being loved and taken care of. We will commit to each parent and child to serve him/her in a personal fashion. We will strive to meet your child's social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs.
OUR PROMISE
The Garden of Learning is committed to the total development of each student. Partnering with parents, we will do all we can to contribute to the enlightenment, health and wholeness of every child. We view education as a foundation for life-long learning.

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
At the Garden of Learning we maintain a strong focus on social development. The children learn to respect the rights of others, to take turns, to follow and to lead. Our staff is composed of warm, caring teachers who provide the students with an opportunity to relate to adults other than their own parents in a supportive environment.
EMOTIONAL GROWTH
Emotional growth is fostered by providing an atmosphere which supports creativity, self-direction and real-life problem solving. Peer interactions and adult/child interactions; including peer negotiations, the ability to make choices and how to properly interact with others; help to build positive self concepts. Every child is given the opportunity to learn to value himself or herself as both an individual and as a member of his or her peer group.
PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT
The Garden of Learning has ample equipment and space to advance physical development. Gross motor skills are developed through running, jumping, climbing, and rhythmic body movement. Outdoor play is an important part of our daily program and exercise and fresh air are a priority of our staff. Weather permitting, the children play outside every day.
INTELLECTUAL GROWTH
The children have the opportunity to participate in a broad range of age-appropriate activities. Classrooms include hands-on learning centers that encourage experimentation, exploration, and discovery in a secure, safe environment. Language skills are supported through conversation, text and pictures, games, music, and art. Participation in storytelling and reading activities will develop essential pre-reading skills and set the children on the path to literacy. Math and science skills are advanced through the use of sensory tables, blocks and other manipulatives.
